Typographicalicious

This typographic inspiration was from the pictures themselves.  I had a picture frame that I needed filling and and I wanted to give myself something that would inspire me everyday with words of encouragement for myself.  It now makes a great portfolio piece as well.

The Christmas Help

Here I wanted to create something fun and flirty for my facebook, thus my "Santa's Help" was created.  While it was fun and received alot of great reaction, I felt it wasn't quite me, so I created the Angel one.  I felt more settled and more who I am as a "brand" anyhow, plus, I got my wings back!  Though I did tilt the halo purposefully! ;)

In doing this, I realized how much I really do enjoy creating Webtars for my clients and have become INSPIRED once again!

Soaring

This work was inspired by a song "Stronger than Before" by Janny Grein.  It's an oldie but goodie.

Art Inspires Art

Table Tossings
Whimsical Chromacity
"Whimsical Chromacity" was a Photoshop creation of mine inspired by an in class project we were given at Emily Carr.   A table of various items were set before us and we were to draw it as real life with our 2b & 4b pencils, which I aptly named that piece "Table Tossings".  I'm rather pleased that art work inspired art in this case and I'm befuddled that it was my own, as I am my own worst critic.  But this time, I think it kinda worked!

Splendiferous Elephant

Splendiferous Elephant

African Inspiration
This African Elephant picture was an assignment that was given to me while at Emily Carr.  We were instructed to find a picture that inspired us and then to use a fine tip pen to indicate light and dark areas.  I chose this picture because I was inspired by the wornderful patterns that Africa has to offer.  I hope to do more in the future for this series.

Entangled Entities

Photo Inspiration
Pen & Ink~ Entangled Entities
Pen and Ink drawing (right), titled Entangled Entities, was inspired by this photo (left) I took that was just in my yard.  I seem to be drawn to trees of particular.  The way in which the roots twisted and traveled around the tree intrigued me, much like life and our choices.
